Title: Prevention Initiatives in Psychosis
Thomas McGlashan M.D. - Professor Emeritus of and Senior Research Scientist in Psychiatry, Yale School of Medicine
Presented: April 3, 2013
ABSTRACT: Psychosis at its core is a neurodevelopmental malady that develops over time in adolescence and young adulthood. Recent research into detection and intervention in the earliest phases of this process strongly suggests that the full expression of disorder severity and chronicity can be truncated and potentially prevented. The findings relevant to this frontier will be elaborated and discussed.
