Improving DNA Sequencing Technology to Drive Precision Medicine
Paul Szauter, Ph.D. - CEO, ElectroSeq
Presented: March 15, 2016
ABSTRACT: The cost of sequencing the human genome has fallen by five orders of magnitude in thirteen years. Still, whole genome sequencing is not yet a routine part of standard medical care. One of the barriers to the widespread adoption of whole genome sequencing is cost. In order to break the cost barrier, new technologies are needed. ElectroSeq is developing technology based on improvements in semiconductor-based sequencing to drive precision medicine.
