Claire E. Wilcox, MD
Associate Professor of Translational Neurosciences
Claire E. Wilcox, MD is an associate professor at the Mind Research Network, in Albuquerque New Mexico, and an adjunct faculty at the University of New Mexico. She is board certified in psychiatry and addiction psychiatry. She is also an associate editor for the New England Journal of Medicine Journal Watch. Her research is focused on finding ways to improve treatments for individuals with substance use disorders and to help people reduce addictive behaviors. To this end, she studies the utility of neuroimaging (primarily functional magnetic resonance imaging) to enhance clinical decision-making, and aims to identify the neural mechanisms of change by which existing and novel treatments work.
