Flor A. Espinoza, PhD

Dr. Espinoza’s work focuses on statistical analysis of functional magnetic resonance imaging (fMRI) with the goal of identifying connectivity differences between healthy and diseased brains. Her current work spans several areas, including studies of brain connectivity in Huntington’s disease, in criminal psychopaths, and in marijuana users. Dr. Espinoza is interested in understanding mental illness from data analysis and modeling. Among her current goals are the improvement and development of spatiotemporal methods to analyze fMRI data, along with the development of mathematical models to predict brain disorders and diseases.
