Day-of-Scan, 3T Trio
  1. The PI is responsible for providing a study coordinator. This person should either escort the participant to MRN or meet them at the center – at least 15 minutes before the scan. The study coordinator will also help complete last minute paper work: informed consent (if not completed earlier), and the MRI Patient Safety Screening form. The study coordinator must be present for the duration of the scan – either in the waiting area or with the research participant. If they plan to enter the scan magnet area, they must first pass the safety test and be cleared by the MRI Manager.

  2. Pregnancy testing is required for all post-menarchal women under 18 years of age, and women over 18 years with any chance of being pregnant. Performing the pregnancy test is the responsibility of the PI’s study group, and must be done on the day of the scan.

  3. The MRI Technologist must be provided with the following documents: the pregnancy test results, if applicable, and the MRI Patient Safety Screening form.

  4. After the scan, the PI once again becomes responsible for the participant, and must see that they are escorted to the lobby or the next part of the study (if more then one modality is involved).
