Paul Mullins PhD

Research Scientist Affiliate

Director, Bangor Imaging Unit
Senior MRI Physicist, School of Psychology, Bangor University

Dr. Mullins uses high-field magnetic resonance imaging to measure metabolite changes due to neural activation and central nervous system disorders.

He also studies the brain’s response to pain, publishing the first study using proton magnetic resonance spectroscopy to detect the dynamic changes in glutamate and glutamine levels in response to painful stimuli.
